If you have heavy decorative pots, go for 3/8" for sturdy support.
1/4" might have slight bending with heavy plants/after watering.
The Pegboard covers half of the back (left or right). You can get 2 pegboards if you wish to cover the entire back. We designed it this way so that it would not interfere with the brackets in the middle spine and keep your shipping cost reasonable.
This item does not include brackets. Our shelves are designed to fit to the original IKEA brackets. However, we STRONGLY recommend you to buy our
Extended Brackets for extra support, especially for odd shape shelves (eg. Triangles).
